Ok, so I know that it has been nine months since I have last posted, and I am truly sorry, Mom, Andi, and Cork. But here is the pictures of what Jake and I accomplished on our day off yesterday. Just trying to get the house looking good for when we try to sell it. Hope you enjoy! The first two are of Jake holding a broken edger that he had been trying to use to dig up a rose bush. The end result....pure brute strength!
Having trouble getting the pics to load. Will do tomorrow! Promise!

Salazar and Bellatrix
These pictures were taken this morning. Jake had a minor freak out because he couldn't find Bellatrix anywhere. He looked under all of the hides and no luck. Well, come to discover, Salazar and Bellatrix were under his hide but Salazar, the fatty, was laying ON TOP of the Bellatrix. We aren't too sure how such a small snake could survive such a crushing weight on top or her, but Bellatrix, against all odds, pulled through and lived to see another day! Yet another heroic tale of Bellatrix! These pictures are of the aftermath when Salazar started to uncoil. It's still so cute how well these two have taken to Bellatrix.
The Hamblins welcome a new addition to their home
Yesterday was the Reptile Depot in Salt Lake and Jake purchased a new snake. Her name is Bellatrix, after Bellatrix Lestrange of Harry Potter. She weighs in at a meager 58 grams and is about 12 inches long. She is quite the defensive little girl. She's still pretty sketchy, but she has already taken to Salazar and Merope; and as you can see from the pictures Salazar and Merope are quite fond of her as well. Although, we have to watch out when Salazar cuddles with her he tends to cuddle on TOP of her rather than around her as Merope does. We did buy a bigger hide for Salazar and Merope yesterday, but Salazar is determined to stay in his super small hide. He is so adorable. The last picture in this set is Salazar going into the new hide with the other two. So all three of the snakes are in there. What a happy family!
